A Folk Game feels like a game that is played between groups of curious humans for the purpose of testing each others minds’, getting to know each other better, or to explore something particular.
Folk Games cannot easily be searched for - in some sense they are a matter of taste. They are the games played at events like Mars College, LessOnline, Edge City, etc between groups of curious, high openness humans.
They are the types of games we populated 🛠️ Introverse with. They have roots in many things - Circling, TTRPGs, etc. The goal is not necessarily winning or losing, but rather the collaborative process of playing.
